Hotel Booking Conditions

These terms and conditions are applicable to all guests booking directly with Tierra Hotels and Tierra Chiloé.

The rates quoted are based on your period of stay. Rates are subject to change as a result of changes in your arrival and/or your departure dates. Rates quoted are in US Dollars (USD).

Extra Person Rate

Extra Person Rate applies when staying in same room with a minimum of two guests (subject to maximum suite occupancy).

Bookings, Cancellations, Amendments and Charges

A minimum three-night stay applies to all bookings. To confirm your reservation, we require a credit card for guarantee purposes. All bookings require full prepayment two months prior to arrival. Such payment may be forfeited in the event of cancellation, amendment or failure to check in on the specified date, in accordance with the terms shown below.

Tierra Chiloé may, at its option, cancel any booking not paid in full prior to arrival. Arrival and departure details must be supplied no later than seven days prior to arrival (or supplied at time of booking inside seven days of travel).

Refunds can take up to 14 working days to be processed. Other alterations to booking details may result in a rate change. All outstanding charges are to be paid prior to arrival.

Tierra Chiloé welcomes children ten years and over.

Payment Policy

A 30% deposit is required within 30 days of booking. The balance is required to be paid in full 30 days prior to arrival. All international payments are processed via Paypal. Settlement is also accepted by international bank transfer; please advise Tierra Hotels once paid to ensure receipt.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and booking amendments made outside 90 days from arrival will not incur a fee. Cancellations within 90 days prior to arrival will incur a cancellation fee of 20% of the booking total. Cancellations within 60 days prior to arrival will incur a cancellation fee of 30% of the booking total. Cancellations within 30 days prior to arrival will incur a fee of 100% of the booking total.

Our hotels are set in remote locations and we have a strict cancellation policy. We strongly recommend guests have a travel insurance policy covering medical care and cancellation due to any reason. No refunds or credits can be given in the event of non-arrival, any unused services, or unused nights due to travel disruptions, weather, or illness.

As we are a small team operating in a regional location, we recommend guests who are unwell defer travelling until they are fit and well.

For peace of mind, we recommend you protect yourself with comprehensive travel insurance to cover any cancellation fees.
