We will leave the hotel by land and board the ferry to the second largest archipelago island: Quinchao. Transport will await us to head to Achao, a city known for its old buildings and fascades made from wooden tiles of varying shapes and colors, including UNESCO’s oldest World Heritage Church along the main plaza.
Next, we will head to a local family’s honey business called “Apiloca de Quinchao,” where the owners themselves will tell us their story, we can see the bees in action and how the honey is produced.
Then, we will visit a local organic farm to see the Chilote farmers at work with their famous native potato and giant garlic crops, as well as a variety of fruit and vegetable fields.
Finally, we will take our boat, Williche, back to the hotel and enjoy delicious drinks and a locally-sourced lunch prepared onsite by our hotel chefs.
